Hello all I'm new to the sleeve but previous had the lap band and want to know what is the recovery time to return to work after surgery, and I noticed people did a two week pre opt diet and my doctor told me one week.

Some sleevers recover quicker than others. I've read that most get back to work within 2 weeks.
Drs vary in the amount of time for pre-op diet, also.

Every dr is different. I took a month off because I had the time to use. Depends on your job too. Dr told me no lifting. take as much time as you can to get adjusted to your new tummy.

Hello... Everyone's recovery is different. I was off work for 3 weeks but that was really my choice. My doctor said one to two weeks was ok. I only had a one week pre-op diet and 2 day liquid only diet. I've learned from this site that every doctor has different requirements. This was definitely the best decision I ever made for myself.
