hair loss/5mo update

Hello, I'm going on 5mo. I've only lost 45lbs but I'm just 10lbs away from my goal weight.
I wasn't too big when I had my surgery. Went from a size 12-13 to a 6-7.

The only thing is that I'm losing my hair. When does this stop? What can I do to prevent this?
My hair is down to my waist and I don't want to cut it. I lose a lot especially after I shower or comb it.

What do you take? I'm doing vitamins, natural shampoos and biotin.

The other thing is, I can eat everything! Nothing bothers me and I do eat what I want to include pizza. I can only eat like 2 slices, but still.
I know I shouldn't eat bad stuff, but I don't want to deprive myself either.
I think I'm doing great because although I've only lost half as many of you in 5mo, I am stronger and healthier than ever.
I'm also weight training, so I'm mainly muscle. I'm not too worried about the weight,since I never weigh myself. Every mo, I have to buy smaller sizes.

UGGH!!!! I am losing my hair at 4 months...posters have been telling me it lasts about 3 months...

Howdy. I lost half my hair and it grew back. Protein I found works the best at getting your hair back. After surg. I HAD to get 100g protein. Still try to get as much protein in as I can. You are already taking Biotin and hopefully getting your B vitamins in?

WOW 2 slices of pizza? I still can't eat 2 slices of pizza(well if I don't eat the crust). Hmmmmm you have to be disciplined now. Or you will gain all your weight back. You know pizza is a huge red flag and a big no. It's a mind thing and it's your choice. Im 3 years out now and there is no way in hell I will EVER go back. Eating pizza is ok BUT you have to stop when you're getting full. Listen to your body. I only started eating whatever after my first year.

And you have lost 45 lbs. which is fabulous!!!!!!!

I had a lot of hair loss too. I agree that you need to eat as much protein as you can. I had trouble with that because I simply couldn't eat that much food. I took biotin and used kernanique shampoo and conditioner. I took some zinc but be careful how much you take. It can interfere with other vitamin absorption. I really babied my hair. Don't wash it any more than you have to. I am retired so I am home a lot. I concentrated on getting my hair healthy instead of styling it. Don't use any heat if you don't have to. At 11 months my hair is much thicker and I'm still getting new hair. I was really worried for a few months. Good luck.

I added prenatal vitamins recently, along with Biotin 10,000 mgs and increasing amounts of protein. It's helping with regrowth.
