btw that is really great... im so happy for u... i know it is an amazing feeling to finally feel like u have made great strides toward a goal... i wish u all the best... keep up the good work... and thanx so much for ur input and advice...
Well I did all the research myself too. I took my heating pad and an extension cord. I helped my back quite a bit. I didn't have a bad smell of urine. The breath can be bad but if you drink water you will be great. The Gas X strips actually made the gas worse. I just walked around the motel a lot. I went shopping the second day at the motel. I went with another lady that was there. Spent too much money. lol I really felt ok. Kinda weak. Sore but not terrible. Waiting on your flight home was the worse part for me. Make sure you take a bottle of water. If you take chicken broth packets you can find some hot water in the airport. It just wore me out. I had a connecting flight to deal with also. Then an hour drive home. So I was glad when that day was over. I also did all this alone. I was nervous about it but I had faith I would be ok. Eating afterwards is the hardest to figure out. I have no complaints and no regrets about my experience in Mexico. The nurses at the motel was great and so was the motel staff. If you ask the bellhop to get in touch with one of the drivers for the hospital they will take you where you need to shop and then take you back to the motel. I was amazed how good I actually felt.
that's so cool... I am going alone as well... but my husband will b taking me to and from the airport...tho I will have layovers and an hour long ride back home as well...I have the soup packets, heating pad,and slippers.... among other recommended items.. such as dulcogas for the gas ... I hope its not too bad, but Im sure I'll get thru it... i'll pack tomorrow... (high- pitched squeals) super excited , but nervous too...I guess that won't go away...
I pray God's blessing upon you for a safe surgery. Please let me know how you do. I'm going for mine on Oct. 18th and I'm getting a bit nervous today. I know God does not give us the spirit of fear and I am rebuking that cause my health is very important with this diabetes escalating. I too have a long flight with flight changes for about 11 hours flying. Take care.
I had Dr. Hernadez on Aug. 11, 2015. I've lost 62 lbs so far. I have absolutely NO regrets. My recovery has been slower than I would have liked, but it was a normal recovery. No issues at all. They treat you very well there. Especially at the hotel. LOVED the nurses at the hotel.
Well I'm here at the hospital now. Just finished my ekg and blood work and waiting on results to proceed with surgery. The medical staff so far are really sweet and the hospital is immaculately clean. I feel so comfortable and confident. The driver was also very friendly and professional. All the negative stuff I've read and heard up to this point, I'm not seeing it. God is the midst. Look for my update tomorrow or if I'm up to it after I wake up from surgery.
Well I will be heading back to San Diego today. In all my life of medical procedures and care, this has been the best least painful major procedure I've ever done. The medical doctors and staff are so professional and caring and friendly. Very attentive and you you can trust them on what they tell you to do and expect. Right on point. I feel I got more than my money's worth. Sorry USA but Mexico medical got you beat. Best decision I made to come here and have my gastric sleeve done with doctor Marcelo Hernandez.
