Just Starting My Journey!

Hello Everyone,

I've begun my WLS journey at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis, Indiana. Because my insurance requires it, the first of three supervised weight loss classes was Friday, May 13th. I was not prepared to start my diet this soon! I was not prepared to change my behavior so soon...

So now, I'm cleaning out my fridge, pantry and cupboards, readying for my new normal. Because I'm disabled and don't drive at this time, I'm depending on a primarily online support system to keep me on point. Thank you all for putting so much of your life, struggles and successes out here for everyone to see, especially me. I truly appreciate it and looking forward to finding support, guidance and tough love here in this space.

I know what you mean. I was given a date in March for 6/2 and to loose 10 lbs. It started out ok, but those weeks fly by. I did my pantry cleaning last weekend and anything big that had to be done and the moved my date up tp 5/31 AHHHH! But honestly, if I didn't make the decision now, while my insurance still covered it, I would be nuts. There's a serious of health risks in my family and don't want to become just a statistic.
