How do I begin??? ... VSG 02/16/2011 (306) ... I lost 70 ... 10/02/2012 Panniculectomy ... And to gain it all back due to a sudden change of family events that caused me to worry about others than what is important....ME ... Today, I come here for support and to work on getting my life back & the weight off. I'm starting from 312lbs - embarrassing, but my reality. 162 pounds is the goal lbs to lose...It shall be done!!!!!! ------- The pounds gained went to outer and inner thighs, arms and filled up face and neck. So as I embark on this 2nd journey, I can read and re-learn from all of you....Huggggggs Krys

Every journey starts with a single step and in our cases it begins with a single meal. We've all been in your shoes lose gain some after having surgery others not. I yoyo's for years until I had the sleeve. It is easy to do without surgery and based on posts from other people it's just as easy after surgery. Often times life gets the best of all of us. I don't post often but the people here are very supportive and not judgmental. We all understand that we could all be walking in each others shoes. Welcome back.

I am so glad you came here for support. I know you are not the only one. I encourage you to visit your doctor and possibly your surgeon. Maybe they have some ideas you haven't considered. Best to you!

Wow, I didn't think a sleeve would allow one to be over 300 pounds. Is there a thyroid issue going on? Have you considered getting the bypass as well? Sometimes that's the trick for people that don't have long term success with the sleeve...Good luck in your journey. WE support you all the way with whatever you choose to do on your road to wellness.

Hi Krys, welcome to the forum!! you don't have to be embarrassed, I saw a documentary a few weeks ago, several bariatric surgeon were saying that for some patients, the sleeve doesn't work and they will need a bypass a few years after the sleeve. We are all in the same boat, obesity is a disease and we do our best with what we've got!Life do give us lemon....and other stuff... Keep us posted after your appointment, take care

Helllllo ...I like to thank all who responded and to give a lil update.

I have been researching in and have decided to go from VSG to RNY....I contacted the medical facility where I had sleeve procedure and they were more than helpful in helping with info of what could be my options. Which are pre-surgery diet & then graduate to post-surgery diet or if doctor/surgeon feels I will benefit from the RNY, then approval for surgery will be sent. I have already checked my insurance which is Medicare. And I am covered 100%. But I won't get too excited yet. I am very optimisic and ready to tackle this weight for the last time whatever the outcome. My appointment is June 16th. Will give an update.
