Surgery went well

I had surgery yesterday and im doing well...not alot of pain from the incisions....but i have gas pains on n off but when i walk i feel much better.....the gas pains kept me up all night....but they aren't like unbearable.....i had some nausea but the medicine they gave me is working now....im eating jello and broth for breakfast "my first meal".....i have been eating ice chips 4 oz every hour....i just wanted anyone that is planning on having surgery know that my experience so far has been great i live in Nashville TN and had my surgery at Vanderbilt university medical Center and they are awesome!!!! Please pray for me as i continue to recover and soon get a normal life back lol....

Glad to hear that you are doing great, I too had a very smooth experience. So to all those people out there thinking about the gastric sleeve, just know that it is a good experience for most with little complications.

I'm 5 days out. Having difficulty with water seems like there's an air bubble with every sip. Juice and jello seem to go down a bit easier but I e had virtually nothing since the surgery. Incisions are fine just painful if I bend or reach too much. other than gas pain I haven't had any stomach pain. Took pain meds for jest two days nothing since. My biggest challenge is being exhausted.
