Forgive my ignorance, but this reminds me of stomach stapling. This procedure was done in the 80s and I do not believe it was successful. Lots of popped staples over the years.

I don't mean to but in, but as a failed lap bander, this intrigued me and I checked it out. The banter also made me curious. This reminds me of the promises made to banders. If it sounds too good to be true, it's not.

No matter what, in my case, my only option is gastric sleeve, but I think it's best.

As I am sure you know, this is a newer procedure and for lower bmi folks. I haven't seen anyone on this forum talk about it or gastric ballooning. There are many forums out there on facebook, too, maybe there is support and info out there. I watched this surgery on you tube....interesting.

When I was in the hospital, one day post op, the cafeteria director came to visit to me cuz I bitched that the broth was too salty. Turns out she is from Columbia (South America). She was my age, 200 lbs and was really interested that I got the sleeve because her cousin was getting it in Columbia the following week. She herself said she wanted to try the balloon. I had never heard of it, but she said it was common and affordable in South America. THe thing is, you can only leave it in for 6 months. Sooooo, wtf do you do after that? Sounds like expensive yo-yo dieting to me.

The results are fantastic, so I am very excited to have this done. Is there anyone else who is having this?
I had the sleeve done 4 yrs ago in Tiaquana but it didn't help me at all. I have never heard of what you're having now but good luck and I hope it helps you. thanks
