Oh, what a difference a year makes!

Weight 288 -> 190
Waist 44 -> 32
Tops XXL -> M
Shoes 12W -> 11.5M (yep, I no longer need to look for extra wide shoes!)

Blood test is perfect, no pre-diabetic insulin levels, no high cholesterol, everything within normal ranges.

I can't even express how much happier I am and how much my life has improved. Oh, how I wish I did it years sooner!

What words of wisdom can you offer to those of us starting this journey?

You have an amazing tool, it will do its job as long as you do yours. Drink water, eat quality proteins, take your vitamins, add moderate exercise. Don't get discouraged when you hit plateaus. I think my main advice would be to cook at home from quality raw ingredients as much as possible. It's easy for me to say because my wife has been an amazing supporter and took great care of me. It definitely helps to have a solid support system in place.
