4 Days Before Surgery

I really enjoy this group and the amount of support is amazing and just what everyone needs. A little about me, I am a 50 year old female who lives in the Houston area. I had my last full meal last night and I choose Cracker Barrel. I start liquids today and am having my surgery on Monday. I like others felt guilty about not being able to loose this weight thru a variety of of diets, and other prescription medicines.
I know this is about looking forward and never looking back, and the only reason to look back is to not repeat the same poor habits that got me to the weight I am now.

I love reading everyone success and I am glad we are sharing this journey together.

I'm in Sugar Land. My doctor wants TWO WEEKS of full liquids diet pre-op! Ugh.

So exciting, though, right! Please keep posting, there's nothing like hearing stuff straight from the source.

Anyhow, my only regret about the process is not having gotten weight loss surgery much earlier in life. Good luck with your journey to a healthier lifestyle!

Good luck to you! Had my surgery on March 15 and it has been smooth sailing! I have had no problems and I honestly feel better than before the procedure! Just walk, drink your fluids and get your protein!

Yes I saw that the other day that you are from Sugerland, I live in League City. The first day of the liquid diet is not too bad, I should have had a better plan. I bought some pre-made soups and I had those today with one protein shake and two sugar free puddings.

I bought some bear creek soups that I am going to make up with low sodium chicken broth and maybe some fat free half and half to have on hand. Main thing I realized is I must have something with me, because when you get hungry during the liquid phase you get HUNGRY, so always have something on hand so you are not tempted.

You did not have to do a 2 week pro op diet lucky you.
