19 days post op- Dr. Carlos Velazquez

Well guys, I can officially say I feel "normal" now. I have lost about 14lbs post op from my surgery date. I expect a slow steady surgery as they told me I wasnt "too obese" whatever that means lol.
I just feel so bad when my fiance takes me out to eat and I only order soft/puree foods and dont even eat more than 3 -6 spoons of that. He has slowly come to terms with it though, and he understands (sas much as someone who never had the procedure can anyway) but I just love him for being patient with me!! I hope you all have amazing spouses who are patient with you. My journey has only just begun and I am sooo excited to put on my wedding dress on July 3, 2016!!!

How are you all ? How were you feeling around this time? (19 days post op)?

I cant seem to eat or drink much of anything at all!! I LOVE water and used to drink half my weight in water daily, now I can barley get down 32oz per day!! I feel like a failure in that area because I NEED water and my protein drinks!!! Anyone have any suggestions?

Congratulations! Right after surgery I started putting protein concentrates in my water; 1, because water tasted stale after surgery and it was hard for me to drink enough so the concentrate made it much tastier, and 2, it put 15 grams of protein in my water for only 60-70 calories. I used ProtiDiet concentrates, but there are a lot of brands on the market.

I'm glad you are doing well don't worry too much I heard that if you use a straw you get more water in that way. Congrats on your upcoming wedding I'm sure you will be looking fabulous. I too have an amazing husband that supportive and understanding.

Did you go to Tijuana? How was your experience? I am scheduled for May 18th. I am so nervous about going to Mexico.

I'm not too far behind on your starting weight. I also have upcoming nuptials in August, I'm scheduled last day in March.

yes she did and I'm going on April 25th. I too was nervous about it but I think we will be just fine. It's a new start to our new life. I will keep you posted every step of the way.

Do not be nervous!!! It was a GREAT experience!! Everyone was very professional!! The hotel was very clean and nice as well!

How are you feeling?? When I awoke I was good, but the first few nights my sleep was very interrupted with gas pains :-( After the first week or so I was feeling MUCH better. No matter how much I dreaded walking, it really is the key!

I looked up ProtiDiet and I could not order anything on the website. I registered yesterday and I did not get a response yet. Any suggestions?

One thing that worried me was not being able to quench my thirst and not be able to drink enough. At two months out I Can drink virtually normally Food is a different matter ( thankfully ) I can barely eat more than a few mouthfulls. I've been very firm with people I know and told them I can't eat faster or more so don't push me ! Lol
