I know this sounds like a silly question, but will I ever get to eat peanut butter again? I've not had too much trouble with cravings, except for this. Will I ever get to eat peanut butter again?
Yes, you will. You can eat the PB2 powder (mix it into a protein drink), you can eat regular peanut butter, or you could try the Quest Peanut Butter protein shakes right now if you are jonesing They are pretty good, AND they come with recipes you can use them in.
I think those who have been sleeved long term can phrase this better than I but.....
I hear too many say i can never ever have this or that for life. Lets get real here. We got this one life, we're human and we're suppised to live life not watch others do it. You can eventually eat anything. Slice of cake, slice pizza, piece of chocolate or cheesecake 'but responsibly' Yea you'd be better off finding a recipe for ones less bad for you that you won't feel so guilty about should you choose.
Its not a moral crime to treat or reward yourself occasionally, you just can't eat those things like you did before. You shouldn't eat them often. We all know this, we need to be aware of our individual kryptonite. If you can't trust yourself then don't. But its not a sin.
Me, I won't indulge often until I hit my goal weight. Besides I had one bad period of poor choices and suffered a setback. But I learned a valuable lesson at least.
Oh and you can have peanut butter btw
HAHA I was craving peanut butter too must mean our bodies need protein!

I sometimes eat peanut butter with fresh apple slices. Since the focus of our diets should be protein, peanut butter helps meet this requirement due to the fact that it is a protein-containing food.
I also eat Pure Protein chocolate peanut butter bars. They're 200 calories with 20 grams of protein and delicious!

Of course! By 6 weeks I was cleared for all foods.
I would avoid good ol' jiff peanut butter. Read the label. Jiff is made with sugar as is most off the shelf peanut butters. Instead look for natural peanut or nut butters. Read the label and choose the ones that just have nuts and possibly salt. These are way better for you. You also need to be aware of the calories in nuts and nut butters. I personally do not consider nuts or nut butters a great source of protein due to the lower protein amounts and higher calories found in them. I do use nuts and nut butters as a good source of fats though. And for what it's worth I find Trader Joe's natural peanut butters to be very good.
Week 2 are you eating food already? I don't think I would be eating peanut butter until at least week 6-8. And then only creamy if I really needed it.
