Considering Gastric Sleeve Surgery

Hello,

I'm 30 years old with 2 children and a widow. I've been through several programs and spent a lot of money on weight loss products. I've also went through a weight loss study (which I want to quit ASAP because its so uncomfortable) with 3 balloons in my stomach. One of my friends mentioned this surgery through weightlossagents.com and I'm highly considering and was hoping I can read positive results from others here that have went through the surgery in Mexico!

Please get an upper GI or a EDG before going to Mexico ,making sure you don't have a hiatal hernia.

I have had an upper GI several months ago that was required for the Obalon balloon procedure. So I think I'm good to go!

How was your experience with the surgery in Mexico? Did you go alone?

I'm alone in Mexico right now. You'll meet some great people so you will not feel alone. Surgery went very well, I'm currently at the hotel where there are nurses taking care of you. It has been a great experience for me so far. Good luck

my cousin came with me for support Everything was great the only thing is that when we were all in the waiting room right before surgery dr Almanza comes in and explains things and then ask if we have any questions at that time I asked him if I have a hiatal hernia and if he sees that I do would he fix it cause I do have the extra money to have it fixed. And he proceeded to ask if I had one or did I have problems with a hiatal ,I told him I didn't know . So for the first 12 days after surgery everything was great and then the heartburn in the chest and my esophagus started burning after 22 days finally got a dr to do the upper GI and two days later did the EDG to be told that I have a severe hiatal hernia so I haven't been able to eat or drink very much cause when I put some thing close to my lips I wanna gag .im on strong meds to reduce the swelling in my esophagus and the acid in my stomach and maybe in 6 weeks surgery to repair ,it's slow going it's been 4 days on this new meds and its working slowly. Just pissed off at the dr Almanza that I asked him to fix it I was the only one that asked a question and I was also the first that day for surgery.all this suffering that I'm going through could have been avoided. And to top it off my husband did not want me to do this so even if I'm feeling like its the end of the world I have to play it off like its bad but not that bad cause I don't want to hear him say I told ya so.
