Has anyone used Dr Ponce de Leon for their sleeve? pros/cons?

Pam,
Would you recommend your doctor? Even though I'm in central California now, I'm afraid by the time I get approved, I will have retired and moved. My husband and I are planning to move to the Cypress, TX area to be near our son and his family as soon as we retire at the end of this year. In case I haven't had my surgery by then, I would love to get recommendations for Bariatric surgeons in the area. Even if I have had surgery, I may need to find a doctor for follow-up care. I appreciate your in-put.

Cypress is WAY far from Sugar Land. I wouldn't recommend him though, if you're looking for a comprehensive bariatric experience. go to TLC or one of the big bari centers that provide nutrition and emotional support. My guy is a general surgeon, so he's considered a 'sleeve em and leave em' doc.
If that's anywhere near Central Texas lookup Dr. Fass at Southwest Bariatrics in Austin, Texas. My doctor in Glendale CA recommended him when I moved back to Texas.
