    Default gas pains

Had my sleeve on the 22nd. I added black pepper to my clear chicken broth to add a different taste {?} .After I sipped [consumed it slowly} all of it about 15-20 minutes later I ha strong gas pains and then had to hurry to restroom [sorry, about the details} Is there anyone that has experienced something similar?

You may have tried adding spice/seasoning too soon. You need to take it slow. Your body had been through a lot! I know the bland flavor of the broth gets old fast...but hang in there.

Your tummy is not ready for spicy, even if it doesn't taste spicy to you. Give yourself a good amount of time and when you do try pepper, start with very little. I have a friend who is 2 years out and since she was sleeved she can't do spicy at all. I am a year out and I can handle spicy. It is a good idea to keep a food journal. This way if you don't feel good you can see what foods didn't sit well with you

Had my sleeve two days before you. Here the nutritionist make us eat soup earlier, and I was supposed to be on soft food since Thursday.
I tried by mistake a tiny piece of what I thought was mild curry dumpling (yes, it's allowed!) but didn't keep it in my mouth, I could feel the gurgling sound of my stomach immediately, just a reaction from the juice of what I was chewing!! because it was spicy curry!! was in my mouth may be 5 seconds!

and broccoli soup makes me miserable...anyway!! tried a little pepper in my chicken soup, it's ok, but I usually put some powder garlic instead because the nutritionist said to be careful with spices for at least three months. I do miss my Tabasco...

Maybe get broth from a Chinese restaurant to have something different with a bit more flavor.
