Are you cold??

This is my first winter being a normal weight since I was 6 and I am always freezing. In the summer I was comfortable when the house was set at 78. Now being winter I am always freezing. I go to work with leggings under my slacks, tank top under my shirt and a sweater on over all of that. Oh, I also wear heavy socks over my leggings and then wear lined boots. I go back to my doctor in Feb and can't wait to ask him. Any thoughts. I am sweating my husband out of our bed with blankets! lol

Thanks Ann, but are you cold too???? My daughter is real thin and she says its normal. She is always cold too.

Hi Jan, I'm freezing ALL the time, sometimes worse than others, but I'll take it. I saw my doctor on Monday and I asked about being cold all the time and she told me that it was normal because I lost so much of my insulation. She also said that some people get acclimated to the cold and some don't. I think its a small price to pay for getting healthy. Keep up the great work, and stay warm. Dean

ALWAYS FREEZING.
It is such a new feeling for me since I always ran hot. Sometimes I just can't get warm at all. It is miserable, but I have to find a way to deal with it. Glad to know that I am not alone.
My boyfriend gets annoyed I think because I talk about how cold I am all the time. He finally said...you need to get used to it because it is your new normal.

Yes, I'm always cold. I guess it's my new normal after losing my insulation. Like you, I layer up

I am usually hot but it has gotten much better since losing 70 pounds. I am way beyond menopause so it is not the problem. I thought that losing this much weight, I would be cold all the time like a lot of other people are. I don't know if my body clock will continue to adjust or if I will always remain a HOT chick. lol

Jan, yes, I do have to layer up more than I used to 100 pounds ago. But, oddly, I'm not nearly as cold now as I was after losing only 30-40 pounds. Last summer (2015) I was freezing! Now, not so much. Or maybe I've just gotten used to it.

Same here, I wear long underwear under my suit cloths! I always seem to have two layers of shirts on, and heavy ones, hoodie over a fleece shirt today.

Just part of it, I still do not think I have leveled out, my weight has, but food intake still seems very low. I am okay with that, just rolling with it. Bottom line, I feel good, so hey, I am much better than 13 months ago!

I made the comment the other day about how I can't get warm anymore. My feet are always freezing. I'm like Numbers and going with long-johns under slacks and heavier socks.

Janice , I am always freaking freezing...right now I am in flannel pj's and slippers and on my bed a sheet, down comforter and comforter....and I'm in California!
