    Default Help

HELLO EVERYONE! I am just wondering what can be done to help push my weight loss on. I know I shouldn't complain iv lost a good amount of weight in the 3 months since my surgery but I feel like over the last two weeks I'm just stuck. I am working out now and trying to push myself to get everything in but its hard and frustrating! I know I can do it but definitely have had doubts lately Any advise?

First off don't forget that while we may not loose pounds we are usually loosing inches.
Do you log in what you eat and what you burn?
If your following your surgeons diet then try to not stress it, it'll come off. Have you not lost at all in 2 weeks? Maybe your starting to build muscle? Not sure because I don't know what you eat but if your doing what your supposed to do then you will be fine. Your body might be at a stand still to adjust and then it'll start coming off again.

I know we don't like hearing this but.....be patient. The same thing happened to me. Suddenly my old thinking invaded my mind. I thought I was failing and the sleeve would not work for me. I stayed with the eating program and started losing again. Your body is trying to adjust to fewer calories. I agree that tracking your food and making sure you are getting enough water and protein will ease your mind.

Yep what everyone else said. I've seen this happen a lot over the years I've been on this site. Just keep getting your water and protein in and it'll go away. Ask yourself this - Have you ever lost 30 pounds in 3 months before? I know I haven't! I've lost 15 pounds in 3 months before the surgery, but definitely not 30! You're doing just fine. From your starting weight, I'd say your weight loss so far is right where it should be. If you weighed more like myself, you'd lose quicker whereas if you weighed less the begin with, you'd be losing weight at a slower pace. Give your body some time to adjust and be sure to take body measurements! I've been doing that every couple of months since a year ago and I have lost a TON of inches. Good luck to you!!

    Weight Loss:
6 Month Requirement with Nut = 41 pounds
    1st mo = 19 pds
    2nd mo = 19 pds
    3rd mo = 9 pds
    4th mo = 16 pds
    5th mo = 11 pds
    6th mo = 9 pds
    7th mo = 4 pds
8th mo = 1 pd (bad food choices)
    9th mo = 4 pds
    10th mo = 3 pds
    11th mo = 3 pds
    12th mo = 4 pds
    13th Mo = 3 pds

What type of exercise are you doing? I started with walking and worked to increase the distance, then worked on decreasing the amount of time it took me to get to that distance. Richard Simmons Sweating to the Oldies dvds are fun and fairly low impact. Start with them, because they are like beginner's zumba. Your buddy will get used to the routine, so switch it up after 6-8 weeks. Good luck!
