Default Low magnesium leads to weight gain

    http://mrvitaminsnews.com.au/weight-...o-weight-loss/

Looking for a healthy weight loss strategy? Well, recent research reveals that magnesium plays a crucial role in how your body handles two major factors in weight loss — fat and insulin. Therefore, it is quite possible that your inability to lose weight is attributed to magnesium deficiency. In other words, a lack of sufficient magnesium in your diet can cause weight gain and even obesity.
Since most magnesium is tied up in the body's bones and tissues, a blood test will not reveal whether you have a magnesium deficiency. However, it is estimated that two-thirds of all Americans are deficient in magnesium, which could explain our obesity epidemic. Magnesium is found in only a few foods, mostly nuts and greens.

Over the past 50 years our soil's magnesium supply has been depleted, so there's not as much of it in today's food supply anymore. Less people were overweight 50 years ago than they are today. Just some food for thought.

My bariatric vitamin has 200 grams magnesium, says it's 50% of my daily requirement. Guess I'll have to eat more nuts and greens.

    Hi,

Anything low or excess in the body is not a good sign. Well talking about reduced magnesium in the body has been linked to insulin resistance that could lead to serious weight gain. Symptoms of magnesium deficiency in body includes loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, fatigue, and other forms of weakness. Extreme magnesium deficiency can cause numbness, tingling, muscle cramps, seizures, personality changes, and an abnormal heart rhythm. Contrary to this you can search out ways to boost Magnesium Intake.

    Thanks
