    Unhappy 14 days post op

Hi all, just looking for a bit of reassurance really. I have completed the required 2 weeks of liquids and have now started the 2 weeks of puréed foods. I am making everything fresh, no processed foods but for the last 4-5 days I haven't lost any weight at all!!! I cannot manage the required number of tablespoons of food on the diet sheet so not having excess as far as I can tell. Did anyone else find this happened to them? Concerned somehow I've stretched my stomach and am taking in too much. I,ve also returned to work and am out walking the dog .

Stalls can happen at any time. I stalled the second week post op and now again at the 5th week. Just keep making protein your priority and get 64 ounces of liquids in if you can. Water is important.

I thought it was just me lol !! i had surgery 13 days ago and as soon as i moved to puréed foods i hit a stall, haven't lost a lb since then, i don't get to eat much because i get pains when i do but guess this is normal for us to stall at a few points of our journey, i'm having trouble with water but i'm still trying really hard, i think its our bodies adjusting to the changes, we will be fine !!! God bless your not alone !!

No, you are way early out. I went almost a month before I really started losing, then kind of went in spurts. It is so very hard to be patient through those times, esp when you are doing everything right and nothing seems to be happening. Best to you!

im a little impatient also... though i havent seen the weight loss right now - i also havent seen the gym like i had earlier. remember, this is just a tool, and isnt the magic cure to sit back and see the weight fall off.

Try not to worry about the scale. The weight center I am going to in Boston said that there are so many factors that go into someone's weight, they really recommend people only weigh themselves once a month. Try to take it one day at a time, and focus on whether you have a good day or not. Eating the right foods, getting enough water, and taking your vitamins are the 3 things that are most important. If you focus on these, the weight will come off.

I hit a stall at 2 weeks and at 3 weeks post op. Our bodies are in shock from the surgery and losing weight, and need a few days to adjust! Evaluate that you are getting in enough protein and water and walking 30-40 min a day and if you're doing all those things, keep it up and relax! Give your body some time!
