Default Can the Bacteria in Your Gut Explain Your Mood?

You may have heard there's mounting evidence that human microbiomes (microorganisms in our bodies) affect our ability to gain, lose and maintain our weight. (Sci-fi solution to obesity: "Buy our probiotic capsules, and you, too, can become slim!")

An article in today's issue of The New York Times explores the science around human microbiomes (microorganisms in our bodies) and their effects on not only our bodily functions and behaviors, but our mental and emotional ones, too.

It's an interesting read about a growing field of medicine, although one of the main scientists whose work is cited says, appropriately: "My main fear is the hype is running ahead of the science."

Can the Bacteria in Your Gut Explain Your Mood?
The rich array of microbiota in our intestines can tell us more than you might think.

Didn't read the whole thing, but that looks really promising in helping to provide insight into how bacterium impacts daily lives. Thx for sharing!
