    Default Bloating help?

Hello! I just had my sleeve done yesterday morning and I have been drinking lots of water and been able to sip some ounces of chicken broth. However, I have incredibly bad bloating and gas pain in my stomach and I don't know what to do. I've been walking around a lot (about 40-45min total a day so far) and I have burped some but it is so uncomfortable Any advice or anything that helped you that you could share here would be HUGELY appreciated!

Does your doctor have you taking a proton-pump inhibitor such as omeprazole (Prilosec) or pantoprazole (Protonix)? These medications take about three to four days to kick in, but once they start working, the gaseous feeling will decrease.

Also, I do not know if you already know this, but while you were being sleeved, the surgical team insufflates your abdominal cavity with harmless carbon dioxide gas to facilitate better visualization of your organs. The gaseous pain and bloating could be due to the after-effects of the carbon dioxide.

    Good luck to you!
