Default I don't feel my bladder anymore...

Okay, hopefully this doesn't' fall into TMI category, but I'm hoping someone else has experienced this as well. I am nearly 8 weeks out and I still can't "feel" my bladder. Like, I don't know I have to pee until OMGHAVETOPEERIGHTNOW kind of thing.

I experienced this some after I had a C-section in 2010, but I don't remember it lasting this long. Is it just trauma from the laparoscopic procedure?

There are days in clinic that I look at my watch, realize I've been at work for 6 hours, and I haven't peed since I was at home. I drink plenty, so it's not a matter of dehydration.

    Just...numb bladder? I dunno.

Hey u are not alone, mine has been going on too. I never think to ask about it. Now I HV heard if u arent drinking enuf that makes a difference, but u say ur drinking enough and if you are getting ur 60oz of liquid then u may not have an issue.

But I'm serious I Can go to Pepe lol 10 times day and i will not go but 3-5 times. I will go Drink more water and wait again. I hv been checked out also and told im fine too? Im not 3 months post op yet feeling this way the whole time its frusturating as hell!
Since i dont get 60ozs of water each and every day, i just chalk it up to that. Good luck sweetie

I didn't have any sudden urge to go but I remember thinking - I haven't gone in hours, so I would go. A little. That should've been the first hint that I wasn't drinking enough. When I did drink more it wasn't the usual sensation of having to go. It took a while to get back to normal. I thought it was because I had a catheter.

I don't think I am dehydrated, but I could always stand to up my water intake I suppose. I don't drink coffee or anything non-water, other than a glass of unsweetened ice tea once a day or so (more on weekends, less on weekdays).

I don't get up at night time so much like used to. I can go longer without empting my bladder. This has been the case for a while now. I believe that now there is not as much fat in there and not pressing on my bladder. Think about it, your inside has much more room without the fat taking up the cavity. Also, your stomach doesn't fill up the space either.
