Any one from Medfird, or just from oregon going through worth bariatric surgery?
I live in Banks (about 30 miles West of Portland) and I'm about 2 years out from my surgery. Best decision I ever made. I feel at least 10 years younger.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks, I'm nervous but excited I have a goal of 160 lbs. But I go to support meetings and get discouraged. I look around thinking I will see people with these dramatic results. And to me there still over weight I feel horrible to think that about them. Because they have done so much. But for my sake am I still going to look obese when I reach my goal. It really messes worth me and makes me think why am I doing this!
Yes it counts! And congrats! Did you feel it made you look different, and feel mental and physically better? I am having a psychological issue with the surgery. I want to look better on the outside. I use to serve my country and be very active. And so want all that again. I know I won't be a size 2 I'm happy with a 18. But I go to group meetings and see people 6 months a years out from surgery and they are not helping me see the benefits. More making me depressed.
I can't tell you how much more active I am. I even climbed the hill behind our house yesterday because for years I have wanted to go up and cut up the scotch broom growing up there. Yesterday was the day. I got up there, and back down, without any problems. I can walk wherever we go, no more sitting in the car because my legs hurt. I can walk the half mile to the neighbors instead of taking the car.
Life is good because of this fabulous tool. Not only will I be living longer, I'll be living better and so will you if this is really what you want to do.
Best of luck to you as you make your decision.
