10 day liquid diet

I am doing my 10 day liquid diet, and I am on day 2. What are some other recipes, or anything I can have because I already feel as though I am running out of options, and Im starving..lol

you need to stay with the program...do not eat anything other then a little bit of fish or chicken(very little)Drink plenty of water, diet tea, clear juice(unsweetened) Remember to drink two protein shakes, one for breakfast (try GNC protein shakes) & one for lunch (premier protein or similar) dinner should be a small amount of fish or chicken. You can eat as many sugar free ice pops as you want and or need. You can get them at Walmart for about two dollars a bag.
Your Liver needs to shrink so your surgeon can preform the operation without any complications. If your liver is too big the Doctor may have to go to open surgery. That's not something you want to wake up to... Smaller Liver Less chance for complication. Stick with the Plan.

Dr A has me on a 5 day pre op. I wonder why mine is only 5 days no I am concerned about the liver issue you mentioned.

Sherry, the pre op diet is based on your BMI. Your BMI must be smaller than Ashley's and that's why you only have to do 5 days. I'm supposed to go on a 3 day pre-op, but have a friend that opted to do 7 instead of the 3 she was advised. I asked about this and they did say that the diet is based on your BMI, but doing extra days only does good and can help you recover faster... I'm planning on going 7 just to help with the post op recovery.

I was on 5 day pre op too. I cheated. I only did 2 day and I was fine. Also you can eat up to 8 hrs.before surgery. You'll do great!

I did Protein Drinks, switched it up between chicken and vegi broth and added bouillon for extra flavor. Sugar free jello makes you feel like you are eating something with substance. I cheated 3 days prior and had some pea soup. Still lost 9 lbs before surgery and did fine with my surgery. Non fat milk is good for a twist as well. Good luck stick with it , it's worth it.

I was on a crash course as far as pre-op was concerned.

My approval and scheduled date were very close together.

I had nothing but opti fast shakes and bars pre-op. It was a struggle, but the payoff was worth it.

Stick with it if you can.
