Awesome job! Congratulations!
OK ANN -- its been a couple days... according to your chart thingy you have 1 lb to go and frankly im sick of looking at the 1 pound to go... the OCD in me swears this should be lower by now!!!!! - LOL
surely you can jump on the scale - empty your mind and clear your thoughts (thats a few ounces at least) -- blow out all the air in your lungs... trim your nails... make sure youre not wearing any rings or necklaces... no makeup.... weigh yourself when its not a full moon because less gravity... come on - where theres a will theres a way!!!!
seriously - congrats .. i keep getting notifications and one of these i was expecting to read that you hit your goal
LOL! I already take off all my rings before weighing. And everything else that isn't grown to my body. Like real girls do. Not like you weird people who get on the scales with your shoes, your wallet, your belt, your watch, your money clip and your bloody coin change. That is cray cray.
Seriously, I expect it'll take me a week to lose this last pound. Or two weeks. At this point, I really don't care. I have seen the light and know there's no end to this journey until they slide me into the crematorium.
And on that cheery note, I'll send you my best wishes re your surgery next month and hopes for a fast, easy recovery.

my nurse at the doctors office always laughs at me - i empty my pockets take off my shoes and all... hell i even try to wear light clothes like a very thin cotton tshirt and shorts even when it is cold out..
but i also wear a size 14/15 shoe (depends on who makes them) ... i lost almost 5 lbs by doing taking off my shoes and emptying the pockets... and once i showed the nurse this she no longer gave me any crap.
thanks for the well wishes - my wife was sleeved in january - and she is very supportive of my journey and i think she is looking forward to us being the ultimate cheap date when we go out together "yes - we will have an appetizer to share .."
You have rocked this journey, Ann! Congrats to you.

Congratulations, Ann!
I took your whole hearted advice and have been using MyFitnessPal for the last four days. So helpful in keeping me on the right track. I'm aiming for 150.
Today's my one year surgiversary, but nobody at home to take my picture!
"Lee, by "own it!" your daughter means that you should be proud of your accomplishment and understand that you deserve this. Not because you have to pay it forward or backward to justify your own benefits. She means that this is YOUR accomplishment, and accomplishing that for yourself is enough. You do not have to fix everybody. And you do not owe anyone for the benefits you have earned. They are YOURS!" Ann2
Lee6Lee ... Today's your surgiversary! How exciting!
Congrats on all you've accomplished this year. I'm looking forward to my "day," too.

These posts are incredibly inspirational to someone sitting a month plus out of surgery. I go back and forth every day until I read something like this and it all comes back as to the why of my decision to go through with it. Thank you and many CONGRATS to you both. I can't wait to sit on the "loser's bench" with the cool kids.
