Default Re: Question about tolerating proteins/foods for those a ways out

I'm 16 months out and still have a hard time with most meats unless I put them in a soup. I really rely on and enjoy homemade soup because it goes down so much better than anything else. Since surgery I cannot stand the taste of canned foods or soups so I usually make a big pot on Sunday and eat on it for most of the week. I try and find a new soup to make so that I don't get bored of the same one.
My weight at start of my 2 week pre-op diet was 232
My weight on the morning of surgery was 221

I have had miner changes also. We raise pasture chicken eggs and I normally don't eat many of them. After surgery, I scramble an egg a couple times a week. Pork of any sort was a past favorite, too dense for me now no matter how thinly sliced. Commercial chicken of any sort is out. Make me nauseous. However, I tried one of our own from the freezer, I was fine. Fresh ocean run seafood of any sort is very easy on me so I gravitate to it more often. I find it so interesting.

    Hi
I am terrible in the kitchen. Can you send me some soup recipes terrora45@yahoo.com? Do you ground the meat or eat it in chunks?
    Thanks
    Terrie
