Have you tried the 5 day pouch test? What size was the tube they used for your surgery?

    Hello val!!
Yes I've done the 5 day pouch test. But to be honest I don't know the size of tube but I will check on my paperwork.

    Hi shandy
He really didn't say a lot he just said that' it's happened and he gave me diet pills!! Which I didn't drink!! The purpose of the surgery was to stop torturing our body with diet pills. After I went back I told him I didn't drink the pills he told me that I should opt for the gastric bypass. But I would prefer to getting a resleeve. And maybe not with him.

Wow, never heard of a resleeve. Exactly what would they be doing? I couldn't find anything when I googled it. Is there another name for it?

Until you understand better why your first sleeve failed, I'd hold off on getting a second sleeve.

Hello everyone I got resleeved may 15th by dr wilhelmy at mexicali bariatrics. And wow!! I've noticed a big difference from this surgery to the first one I had by dr Rodriguez in Juarez. I'm down 14lbs since surgey. My experience was great him and his team are just wonderful!! The hospital is great!! The nurses, staff absolutely everything was great. Everything went so smoothly. My previous sleeve was too big!! He had to do a total new sleeve!! That's how big it was. The previous dr had left behind the fundus plus the stomach was big. When I went and asked him for help they gave me DIET PILLS!! so that was the reason I looked for help somewhere else. I'm just glad I found Dr. Wilhelmy!!

I'm so glad that you've been given a second chance- or should I say a new start. It must've been very disheartening. Now you know that you didn't do anything wrong and start with a clear slate.

    Hi Ladies and Gentlemen!
I was sleeved June 2012. I knew something wasn't right almost immediately. I could eat whatever I wanted (hard protein) without feeling full right from the start. I trusted the doctor but started inquiring why I could be so hungry and never get full at about 5 months. He said he made my sleeve a little more generous because my pre op BMI was relatively low. I weighed 214. I started swimming hard 11 days after surgery. I got to the point where I swam 1 - 1.5 miles per day, 6 days/week. I swam so hard to burn calories. That created a problem --- I tore my bicep all the way through AND my rotator cuff tendon all the way through. Still I swam until the pain was absurd.
Got my normal endoscopy and asked if she could tell how big my stomach is. It is normal / small normal size. DANG! I KNEW it! I work with another sleever and she can't eat a whole Lean Cuisine. I, on the other hand can eat 12 ounces PLUS of solid meat with no problem. I definitely do not have what I paid $21,000 of my own money for.
I have since had my should fixed. But I have also gained a lot of weight. I now weigh about 157 pounds after hanging around 133 for about a year. I am probably diabetic again. Will find out on Friday.
I am seriously considering a resleeve but I am now going to be 60 years old and I am a smoker. Doesn't look like a good risk.
I absolutely wish you the best!! Do what you know to be the best for you and your health.
And other sleevers? Yes, this happens, doctors sometimes make sleeves too big, too small, make errors in judgement. I have learned that you must tell the doctor exactly what you want. Know what it is you need and ask for it. Demand it.
    HUGS!
