has anyone documented their hair loss with pics?
if so, can you post them if you are ok with sharing?
also, what did u do to make it look less noticeable?
Mine wasn't noticeable enough to show in pics. I can tell it happened now as I can see the short pieces sticking up in the winter static, but a little product sticks them right back down. Was really a non-issue for me.
I only lost a small amount for a few weeks around months 3-4. I am not losing hair any longer. It was not bad at all for me. I do take my vitamins and I eat a lot more protein than I did when I was on Weight Watchers. In fact, when I lost 120 pounds on WW years ago, I lost a LOT of hair!! Based on my experience, I think maybe the FIRST time you lose an extreme amount of weight may be the hardest on your hair, but I am no expert. I am just glad my hair loss this time was minimal. Good luck.
I have lost 2/3 of my hair. I have extremely straight hair and I have been using a volumizing blow dry and then add curl. Most people don't notice unless their looking for it. I notice it a lot. I have been losing from day one and it hasn't stopped. During months three and four it was coming out in hands full everytime I brushed or showered. Now it is about twice as much as normal or maybe it's normal and I am just more aware of it now.

I have been worried about the hair thing. I lose a lot of hair as it is! Ever since I did an extreme diet 3 years ago, it has thinned out terribly. I'm not sure if it is lack of vitamins or hormones..probably hormones for me. My hair is long, thin, and grows incredibly slow. It literally comes out in handfuls now, I'm worse than a shedding dog. Being a hairdresser, I know that it is way more than normal. Biotin has not made an improvement yet. I have a hair appointment Friday and I have been debating on what to do. It needs to be cut but I'm scared to cut it and then lose a lot more and being bald. I guess I could always get a wig it took me 3 years to get it long. I'm thinking maybe keep it long, then cut it short after surgery?? Idk!?!?!
My hair thinned out quite a bit from about 7 months out if memory serves me correctly. It's all come back now (it was my first year out yesterday) but it has grown back differently. At the back it has become quite curly but more body on top so it's all new to me and I'm still deciding whether or not I like it. Not that there is anything I can do about it if I don't like it. I'd be very interested to see if anybody else had this happen.
Meme mayhem..why get an out of date hairstyle while you are heading towards looking the best ever? Go for a new do,,or keep what you have.
As far as hair loss goes, I didn't lose any. I know! Bitch right? I was very concerned about that AND being cold all the time. Neither of these happened though. I feel very fortunate.
I actually would love a very short pixie cut with a few long spikey peices up front...lol my hair is short but i cant pull off the supershort pixie my face is too round...and i might be getting a little old for it...lol but hey Hallie Berry had it and Jamie lee curtis just want a little funkier
I had noticeable hair loss *before* surgery. Here are my tips for hiding it if yours gets noticeable:
--cut your hair short, side part, layered-bob type style
--use headbands to pull your hair back over your scalps -- particularly if you are not willing to go the short hair route
--use powdered hair loss concealers such as Nanogen or Toppik. They work great! When you first buy them, buy one canister in the color you think matches your hair and another canister in the next lighter shade. Most people find they end up using one shade lighter than they initially thought.
Good luck!
My son is a dermatologist I asked him. he gets a lot of pts for hair loss he said thers not a whole lot you can do but rogain for women 2xd. Get your protein (hair is protein) Nutrition your vits. Surgery is a shock on the body so it can stall growth. Skin the best is retin A 2xd helps smooth & prevent age spots. Keeps healthy skin. For those going to mex you can buy it for $10 tube. States $60 gerneric. I don't know if this helps good luck. I didn't loose my hair but is alittle thinner im starting rogain for women to thicken up ???
I've always had fine (ahem, a nice way of saying thin!), straight hair that you can do nothing with. It did get thicker when I started dying it again after having my kids, so I had some to lose. Think I started losing month 4 to month 6. It is growing back, I can see what we Brits call "bum fluff" which are those wispy bits that stand bolt upright 😄 They're annoying, but I can smooth them down. What's more annoying is seeing daylight through my hair if I wear it down, so I usually wear it up at the moment. It will thicken in time, as I can see where the new hair has reached to, but my hair is very long, so it'll take me a while. But hey, I like having long hair, it won't take waves or layers, so I'll just hang in there until I get the kind of hair I can flick around like in the adverts ;-)
