    Default Exercise?

Hi guys! I'm looking for a little advice about possible exercises. I try to walk 5 miles a day (the whole 10th steps thing) and while I stay at a steady 200 pounds, I can't help but notice that my took us and thighs are still pretty large.

I feel great and I generally am happy with how I look, but I find myself noticing that I have an odd gait. I think because my legs are still big (I've called I think my waddle the last few weeks).

Anyways! Long story short! Anyone know anything I can add to my routine to help trim my legs down a bit so that I can walk without feeling awkward? I don't have a gym pass but I would be willing to get one.

    keep on keeping on.

Measure your TIME to get 5 miles in, and tomorrow bat it by 2 minutes. Try to shave 10 or 15 minutes off a month. This a marathon, not a sprint. But faster is better :-)

I don't know much about your diet and workout, but I assume you are following docs instruction. Do that.

You are okay, just measure like your life depends on it, because it does.

The only thing (besides cardio) that has ever slimmed my thighs, was Windsor Pilates and the Pilates ring. You can get videos on Youtube or a dvd and a lot of stores sell the Pilates ring. I got mine on Amazon for like 10 bucks.
Now I have to take to my own advice and start using it again, because it really tightens the inner thigh!

I joined gym. Your body might be stuck in cardio mode now. I was doing a lot of the same routine on treadmill. I would walk for an hr. Try changing up. 1 day walk 15 minutes next time, 1/2hr, and so on. When I wasn't doing (even light) weights, I felt I was at a stand still. Also I think it helped tighten my skin. Try using leg machines at a gym. A little change in routine helps trick the body. Good Luck.

    Thanks guys!

As for diet, I do my proteins first. I try to reach 120g, and stay under 1700 calories (any more and I start putting on weight again). I could be way better with my diet though.

    Appreciate it a ton!

If you can walk 5 miles a day it sounds like you're doing great! When I got really comfortable with my walking, I started a little running off and on with my walks. After 3 months I've worked up that I can actually run 3 or 4 miles without stopping. It feels great.

I use a stationary bike. Invested in a good one for home since cycling is the only exercise I'm allowed, (hip displasia). My legs are pretty fit now, (excluding the elephant look from the extra skin, lol), but I've always been a size smaller on bottom than on top, #gratefulforthat. Maybe just how you're built? Good news is, as the weight comes off it will come off all over, (but not necessarily in the exact proportions WE desire).

Don't worry about hurting my feelings because I guarantee you not one bit of my self esteem is tied up in your acceptance.
