    Cool New procedure being tested/approved

Here is a link to a new procedure being tested and will be approved for use in Europe and potentially the USA next year after FDA approval. The Surgeon who discovered this procedure is a partner in the health group where my surgeon works out of. Kinda neat! It will be interesting to see how this works long term. It may very well be the next greatest weight loss procedure. Time will tell.......

This looks AMAZING! So was it my understanding that this can be used on patients that have already had bariatric surgery such as bypass? I have a relative who had bypass lost it all then gained it all back. She has been offered the chance to have bypass again but does not want to go through the surgery again, so maybe something like this would be an alternate option. I think I will keep an eye on this information and follow the story. Thank you for posting this. I wonder how much this will cost to have given the fact they don't have to do surgery.
I always wanted to be a certain number but after losing and have the skin removed I looked in the mirror and I realized I had hit my goal... I see healthy, beautiful, and happy! Numbers mean nothing to me...but self worth does and MAN AM I VALUABLE!

GoPack, what is the device? Could you describe it, please?

I can't get the video you posted to play on my laptop.

    Thanks.

From my understanding this is similar to a stent they put in a arterie for heart patients. I believe Dr. Baker used this on a patient after they had restrictions 2 years post op from a gastric surgery (RNY).

Here is another link to a different article about the procedure -

Wow this is really interesting. As someone with the sleeve you automatically think about 'what if' I had this instead. I think at this point the sleeve provides a long term solution for me. Here's hoping there is a more accessible option for others who have not had the opportunities we have, less invasive and more affordable. Just think of the potential this could have on current health systems and even healther populations in all our countries. I'm voting for a weight loss procedural revolution. Thanks for posting this!
