After losing weight, did you look older or younger?

Don't know whether I'll look older or younger, when I reach my goal, however, I know I'll look a heck of a lot thinner and feel much healthier! PS~ Nobody should even consider Lifestyle Lift; the surgery is performed by barbarians...Those people on TV probably went elsewhere or REAL surgeons were specially brought in, just for the ads!

I look at least 10 years younger and feel at least 20 years younger. =D

But I've spent the last 15 minutes reading about the horror stories of the botched jobs! Agggghhhhh! So scary! Not gonna happen!!

I'm still fairly new out, so it's too soon for me to know BUT I have two very good friends who were sleeved. One of them has lost 130 lbs and the other has lost 75 so far. Both of them look many, many years younger!! I'm simply amazed at how much younger they look. I have read articles that state people who are slightly overweight look younger because the fat fills out the lines, etc...but I do think it could be very individual and case by case.

Connie based on your picture you are going to look great. Attitude is pretty much everything!! Good attitudes do make a big difference as happy people certainly do seem fun loving and that equates to looking younger.

My brother was about 35 pounds overweight (5'8" and 200-210 lbs) when he started doing P90X. He is one of those annoying people who actually stick to things when they start them, so he lost 35 pounds pretty easily in only a few months. And he changed to look at least 10 years younger (he is 42) - I mean babyface!!!

But then, of course, he has to prove that not only will he stick to it, he will excel at it... so he became a P90X trainer, and exercises about 2 hours per day hardcore. He lost another 30 pounds of fat and then gained 10-15 pounds of muscle...Putting him at about 155 lbs. He now looks like an old man again, probably 10 years older than he started out.

I think there is a balance, and fat definitely makes you look younger... Not *excess* fat so much, but just plain old even-boobs-are-made-of-fat type of fat... He got down to about 15% body fat and it just doesnt look good on him.

I just want to get to the babyface stage I have always looked younger than I really am (40 now), with a few exceptions, so hoping history repeats itself

Everybody says I look younger, I'm not thru yet though, we'll see. I think I look younger in cooler weather bc my skin is tighter and not so red from the heat. But once I lose all the weight I will know then. Taking in some fat helps, or things like vit E capsules or fish oil. I use msm soap and cream, I love how it feels. I hope it does some good.

Oh, and most of the before and after vids on you tube make them look younger.

I know someone who had a bypass and was beautiful before but looked haggard after. Her sister said she'd eat candy instead of what the dr said. I know size and age have a lot to do with it but nutrition has to play a big part.

I think nutrition, drinking lots of water, not smoking/drinking are all in a persons favor. And yes, finding the right balance.

Most people say I look younger (if they have an opinion). I haven't lost so much that my face has taken a beating, but I'm still a few pounds away from normal weight range. I notice more lines now, but it could be because last summer was the first time in about a decade where I spent time out in the sun. I don't use sunscreen because I haven't found one that doesn't irritate, so I tried to go out after 4pm. I still got a lot of sun. I only know a couple of people my age from my HS class whose face looks better than mine and that's because they were religious about skin care and they didn't have wild fluctuations in weight. I only got serious a year or 2 ago about skin care and the main thing I do is exfoliate every day and use a good moisturizer. My neck is crepe-y and so are my arms, butt, and thighs. My skin is very thin and fair, so I was expecting the crepe-y skin.

I chopped off 22 inches if hair because of hair loss after my surgery, and the aneasthesia really left my hair dry. People tell me the weight loss is enhanced with my new shorter hairstyle and that it has taken yrs off how I look. I have never been one to wear makeup or worry about how old or young I may look, so hearing I LOOK YOUNGER is simply a bonus to FEELING YOUNGER!!! Good luck on your journey!!!!

I am 47. I just asked my husband that very question and he said younger. And he is very honest! I think I look younger too. Though up close, the fine lines show at any weight!
