It is a different hotel now than when we went in Dec. It was Hotel Ticuan. It was amazing!!
I am driving to San Diego so I can be there anytime but haven't been given a shuttle pick up time yet. All this researching and trying to gather info is crazy, I want to make sure I am prepped at home and prepared for the journey, even though you truly do not know whats what until you experience it. I booked my moms plane ticket to come stay with the kids for my "vacation" and my birth certificate just came in the mail YESTERDAY!!! There was a big issue with my BC so I am just now going to apply for my passport and hope to god it comes in time. fingers crossed. Are things going smoothly for you and do you think you are doing something I am not thinking of if so , please share. I want to start gathering vitamins and post op supplies along the way to fill my time. There are several things in my life that are waiting on something else for the next step
I am booked on the 9 A. M. shuttle on the 5th.....yeah....sounds like you are ready to go to....my biggest worry is finding sources of protein to drink...I have a hard time with the shakes....my husband is staying with my son so I am going alone and kind of happy about that...it will be quiet, (lol they are a noisy couple of boys) lol I am looking forward to meeting all of you ...sharing this experience and moving on with life...you can put a rush on passports although it costs more money...Washington offers and enhanced drivers license....it is used for land crossing for Canada and Mexican borders so I don't need a passport...I might though when all this weight comes off...Paris here I come Looking forward to seeing you there....keep in touch...my name is Jenny
Some of the tips I have picked up by post op sleevers is to be sure to take gas X strips, lip balm and your own pillow. The pillow to cushion between the seat belt. Kinda worried about you Crystal driving there by yourself. Do you have to go far. Anyway those of some of the tips I have learned. Looking forward to meeting you girls. I am bringing a friend who has had the bypass surgery 10 years ago and it has changed her life so she is so supportive of this decision.
