    I'll give top three

Being able to buy clothing in normal stores. Going from a 50 to 38 does that. Honeslty I still don't know how to shop because the concept of being able to look in every section is so foreign.

Flying without the extender fear and fitting in the seats. Not seeing the look of fear in everyones eyes as I walk down the aisle

being able to ride the roller coaster with my kids

What a fab thread! I'm about halfway through my journey so still have a way to go but moving my way down through clothes sizes is fab - especially as I've been moving up for the last few years!
Managing to wear my eternity ring is amazing!
And just generally feeling more confident!!

    Well done everyone! X

No BP meds for and I am wearing a size 50 in stead of a size 60. I do have a way to go yet...

i have a couple. Hygiene is so much easier ( no further detail required). Crossing my legs. Sitting better in plane seats and being able to walk down the isle without going sideways.

Lord yes!! I don't have to be a contortionist to access all the nooks and crannies.

I know this sounds weird but I'm sure some of my back pain was due to the contortions required...... I could add the nsv that you need less shampoo when you have less hair! But I don't really see that as a victory at this stage and I'm early into the hair loss.

I have been thinking about this ever since I saw the original post. There are so many NSV's. The very sweetest ones are: how delighted I have made my husband, fitting into much smaller clothes, looking nicer and having more confidence and energy. Also, one of my cousins has been very mean to me over the years. I didn't put it together until a few years ago...she's jealous of me. But now she's REALLY jealous!

I know how I sound by saying that, but you don't know what I've dealt with!

Not because you have to pay it forward or backward to justify your own benefits. She means that this is YOUR accomplishment, and accomplishing that for yourself is enough. You do not have to fix everybody. And you do not owe anyone for the benefits you have earned. They are YOURS!" Ann2

I had a face and neck lift and other facial cosmetic surgery 18 months ago. I was so worried my face would sag but it didn't. Sounds vain but I was so worried as I don't want to go through that again (I think it was because I lost weight to have the surgery and so now I am at that weight)

Not cold like I thought I would be (was worried because I do a lot of outdoor sports in the winter in Canada)

    Off my BP meds!!

Never lost any hair!! The first four were my biggest concerns!!

My smallest ski pants fit AND I can wear a thick layer underneath.Last year wore my fat ski pants with no layers. Most obese people don't ski so it is nice not sticking out this year.

Get off the couch without rocking.

    Wow... NSV's galore today!

Today was my first time back in the pool since November. Pre-surgery I swam all the time, but pre-op procedures and post-op infected incisions have kept me away.

NSV? Wearing a smaller bathing suit, being able to slip on my zoomers with little effort, having a ton of stamina/not being short of breath, getting up the pool stairs without any trouble, not worrying that the shower stool in the locker room was going to collapse under me.

Awesome return to my favorite place to be in winter!!!!

I work at a large corporation with about 2,000 people on my campus - a stranger who works several rows down from me stopped me in the bathroom to tell me how amazing I look and asked what did I do to lose so much? In addition, the cafeteria cashier also said the same thing to me - twice.
When people who don't know you notice and say something, it's a big NSV!

Sweatpants literally falling down to the ground (luckily at home) as you walk because who wants to invest in new sweatpants?

Let's see, no longer being type-2 diabetic and taking meds for it, lower BP, lower cholesterol, significantly lessened sleep apnea, feeling prouder of how I look, not feeling like my children are embarrassed of being with me in public (not that they probably ever were, they only saw me as "Dad", but I felt that way), not feeling as self-conscious taking my shirt off at the beach, being able to buy clothes at any store now rather than Kohl's on line or JC Penneys because they carried size 50 pants and 2XL or 3XL shirts; the list goes on and on.

Oh yeah, and no longer having to listen to my talking scale say "Only one person at a time, fatso" when I stepped on it. Well, actually: "Glug, glug, help I'm drowning!" was its last words when I threw its sorry a$$ in the bath tub for saying that to me.

Inside some of us is a thin person struggling to get out, but they can usually be sedated with a few pieces of chocolate cake.

I got to Zip Line...............BUT they made me weigh first , to make sure I weighed ENOUGH !!!!! Happy Flipping Dance. And out of the 10 people who did it , I was the smallest, so it took me longer, the guide said I needed a brick tied to me ..........NOT !
