Default Hoping for March for Tummy Tuck

I've talked with two surgeons in Colorado Springs, really like one...his name is Dr. Aaron Smith. I'm meeting with two more surgeons in Denver next week. Dr. Campanile and Dr. Vath. Denver would be an hour ride...each way...which doesn't sound appealing for aftercare visits. But both of those doctors do drainless tummy tucks, which does sound appealing. Dr. Campanile's work looks amazing!!! He does pretty aggressive lipo so there is beautiful contouring.

My work schedule is virtually empty in March, so I'm hoping whoever I choose can fit me in. I'll be able to take time off work easily to recover. I may have a chance to go to India in late April, so I want to be healed by then so I'm feeling 100% for that amazing trip.

I can't decide what to do with my breasts...lifts scare me a bit and I do not always like the look afterwards, which means I'd probably need very small implants. But I want to be very natural looking. So I figure I'll do one thing at a time. Tummy is job one! I've never had a flat belly, even before kids when I was bodybuilding and 10% body fat. So 20 years later, two kids, and 50lb weight loss means there is plenty of room for improvement. LOL

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

I didn't undrestand, but what I understand that you thinking to do plastic surgery. If that what you thinking to do I don't encourage you because it addictive. also it is very dangerous as I have seen many people die and it is not good to die for plastic surgery !!!

Susan, all the quotes I've received have been for full mommy makeover, tt, muscle repair, lipo, breast lift, implants...$14k.

I'm presuming half that for just tummy work.

Did you know that if implants scare you you can just have your own fat from your liposuction from the tummy tuck put into your breast?

Hi, just a note of warning it has been proven that you should wait at least 1 year to have any surgery of this type. I had a good friend she insisted on having it done at 8-9 months out as she was never going to gain weight, and wasn't going to look at the sagging skin. I get it totally, but now 2 years later she's gained back 50 of the 100 lost lbs and is still paying off the 16k she paid. So please think about waiting just a bit longer, time costs nothing and let your body get a bit more comfortable where it is. Congrats and best of luck to you.

@Scoobie61, you are absolutely right and that rule does apply for most people; however, Kristen started with a lower BMI and that makes a huge difference. Loose skin will be quite different for someone who has to lose (or lost) 150 lbs vs. the 52 lbs in her case, and she was never morbidly obese (like me!) to begin with.

Kristen, check your email! I'm sending you some tummy tuck (and boobs) inspirational photos! =)

So excited to read these threads full of wonderful advise. I just made my appointment to have a Tummy Tuck on March 13th. Very excited and a bit nervous, but more excited. I have to agree that I don't like the look of the "After" of breast lifts. My next will be arms. I hope that there won't be an addiction for a next and a next surgery.

Best of luck to you Terps, and to all considering this next step.

@Leanng, send me your email address and I'll send you my boobs! I had an auto-augmentation breast lift. Plastic surgery is all about trading one set of flaws (loose skin, stretch marks and cellulite) for another set of flaws (surgical scars). I love my plastic surgery results!

My TT is set for this coming Wednesday - so excited and nervous too. I have virtually no fat left other than a
"pooch" in my lower abdomen that he said he will remove one of the layers of fat while he does the TT. I have had breast reconstruction but that wasn't pure cosmetic either. Finally that sharpei puppy I have had laying on my stomach for 2 years will be GONE!

I went local here - 5,900.00 - by the time I paid for it in TJ and the hotel and airfare not to mention having to be away from home for 5 - 8 days - not worth it. Local is best for me and the way I heal anyway. Friend is taking me then I have my recliner going to be setup with a little work station around it for my tablet and laptop so I can still work sitting up in the chair
