I'm just curious how many of you weigh your food portions? If so are you using digital scales or the old fashion spring scales that we used to buy from the grocery stores?

I try to weigh my proteins. Definitely use measuring cups for things like pasta or rice (I try to limit those).
I use a digital food scale since I can zero out the weight of the plate/container before I put the food on it.
The old fashion kind you can offset too or just subtract the weight of the container in you head for either one.
I don't weigh anything. I bought some bowls and plates in the toddler section of Walmart and that is what I use to judge how much to eat. The bowls hold about 1/2 to 3/4 cups and the plates are very small. I usually do not finish what I put in or on them anyway.
I use a Weight Watchers scale I bought about 7-8 years ago. I can "zero it out" (after putting a dish on it) and then add food to the dish to measure the food's weight.

I am almost 2 years out and have never used a scale. I am just not that disciplined. I have several containers that start at 2 ounces up to 8 ounces and these are what I use for my portions. Depending on what I am eating is what decides my size I use. Usually I use the 8 ounce container to make a tossed salad for lunch. If I do a soup I use my 6 ounce one and for a full meal I will do 4 ounces of meat and 2 ounces of veggies.

Never weighed anything. I'm almost 9 months out and I think it would have felt like dieting if I had to weigh the food. Bought a nice scale when I was on HCG. I did lose 30 pounds in 30 days on HCG, but it came back (of course). I'm slowly learning how to work my sleeve and I'm very grateful it has been patient with me.
"Lee, by "own it!" your daughter means that you should be proud of your accomplishment and understand that you deserve this. Not because you have to pay it forward or backward to justify your own benefits. She means that this is YOUR accomplishment, and accomplishing that for yourself is enough. You do not have to fix everybody. And you do not owe anyone for the benefits you have earned. They are YOURS!" Ann2
I'm a year and a half out and have been in maintenance about 8 months now. In the beginning while I was re-learning my capacity I weighed and measured everything. It was self-defense really. I didn't want to make myself sick and that was the safest way for me to not misjudge what I was getting. Today I measure or weigh food that I have a tendency to over eat. I count out a serving or less of crackers or chips. I tend to measure cheese too since it's high calorie and easy to over do for me. I weigh slider foods if I'm going to indulge or purposely purchase these things in single serve packages. For most everything else, I've learned to stop before I'm full.
I weigh almost everything. I use a digital scale I got from Amazon.
I weigh everything before it enters my mouth as well...I use a digital scales, it is very accurate. Measures in different units too. I feel I am more in control when I know exactly how much nutrition I am taking in. I record everything I eat on my Calorie King. (I occasionally enter results on My-fitness pal and Web MD as well)
