If you didnt yet elect to be listed on the member map, could you let me know why?

Just wondering the reasoning behind why some of our community prefer to not be listed on our wonderful member map. So if you arent listed here:
Gastric Sleeve Forum - Member Map could you let me know why, either in PM or on the thread? Just wondering if there is anything I can do to make it better. Remember, you can put the push-pin marker on a nearby landmark, it does not need to be where you live or work, etc. You can pin a nearby intersection, building, beach, bridge, etc.
Thanks for reading, and wish everyone the very best. We have come a long way in just a few months and I am really trying to keep the site attractive, inviting, and warm for all the community, present and future members.

The pin keeps going to Canada! Trying to hit the greater seattle area will try from a different computer

Have you zoomed in all the way? If you are zoomed out when you place the pin, it might not end up where you want it.
If that tip still does not help, otherwise, please just let me know the latitude and longitude coordinates you wish to use, and I will enter them in the database on your behalf.

Added my pin. Didn't know this was available so hadn't done it. Hope everyone reads their email and add their pin!! Good you emailed this out. That is the only way I know what is new or available with site because I read all my emails.

I placed my pin & looked all over the page & then hit submit or whatever & it tell me over & over that it could not be place because of missing info?

I wonder why it gave you trouble.. I will need to look into it. Seems many are able to get it to work though, strange. I will try and get it figured out.

I just went in and clarified the instructions on the map. This is what I wrote:

Step 1: Zoom the map to your area, and pan by clicking and dragging the map to find your location. You may need to pan and zoom a few times in order to zoom in close to your location. If you look closely at the map, in the top left corner are the zoom tools, see the + and - signs, that is what you will click in order to zoom. Step 2: Click on the correct location where you want your pin to appear. Clicking will place a marker and automatically focus the map on the center. Step 3: After you filled in your details (title, short message), and you are happy with where the marker appears, click save. You may place the marker pin on a nearby landmark, such as a bridge, river, building, etc. It does not need to be where you live or work (for privacy).

I hope its easier to use now.
