    Default Tummy tuck! With pics

So I hit my goal weight in June and just had my tummy tuck done on December 3,2014. They put two drains in sent me home with pain pills and a pain pump that was attached to my belly. It lasted three days and then I removed it. I must say I notice that it's gone. I feel the full brunt of the pain in my abs and around the incision. I've lost a total of 120 lbs and slowly starting the mommy make over. My insurance approved the tummy tuck but not the lower body lift. We will try again for that after im full recovered. Then I'll be having a boob job next. Still looking for a good surgeon in Dallas for my boob job. So if anyone knows of one msg me!

The pain is unbearable some days. Other days not so bad. This surgery isn't for people that can't handle pain. But loving the results. It's odd looking in mirror and seeing flat tummy (even if it is swollen )

You look fantastic! Did they give you an idea of how long the pain will last? And is it mostly pain in your abs/incision or is it discomfort from feeling like your skin is too tight? I've heard both. Kudos to you on your success!

That gives me hope of what my outcome might be - I have a ton of extra skin - I have always had extra from the ups and downs with my weight and now finally doing the TT in mid January after I move into my new house. I was going to do it in mid December then I closed on a house and knew I wouldn't be able to move or lift things so going to get settled. Only bad thing is it's just me and I don't have anyone at home to help or take care of me so I have alot of friends that live in my part of the Valley here and they'll check on me if I ask them which I probably won't anyway. Gotta sleep in a recliner right? I can take pain and I know I have to quit smoking again - when I cough I know I won't tolerate that so today I quit again. I quit in June and started back up in Mid July after those surgeries were over.

Funny here; my doctor is a young little hottie and just as sweet as can be (and did I mention he is HOT?) and I have a tattoo around my belly button. When he was showing me he was going to pull in from the sides then down I asked about my tattoo. He said yeah it will be a lot lower.... I laughed and said OH YEAH I'm gonna have a tattoo on my whoohoo lol He just looked up at me and shook his head and left the room grinning - poor guy - his assistant and I just about cried laughing so hard

You look fabulous! I got one about 12 years ago. So grateful.

The majority of my pain is from my ab muscles being tightened and stitched together. Coughing is very painful. I was mobile 6 hours after surgery. If you are by yourself make sure you have things close to you for first couple of days. Invest in a cane if need be. It will help. The have me on higher pain pills now so my pain is now under control. They said each day will be a little better. I sleep in my bed as I don't have a recliner. I wear the compression garmet everyday and that helps. I stuff it with extra gauze to give padding on my sides so I can sleep easier. I'm a side sleeper. And I sleep on my pillows which gives some support. The pain will be here for few weeks. The swelling can last up to a year but after 3-6 months the majority of the swelling will be gone.

I'm still hunched over when I walk. Doc said it will be like that for a week or two Til my ab muscles relax.i feel like the hun h back of Norte dame. Lol. I hold my stomach when I walk too the pressure gives some slight comfort. Invest in stool softeners as well. Bc last thing unwanted do is put pressure on your belly going to the bathroom !
