I just had a tummy tuck. I didn't need to sleep in a recliner. I used some extra pillows for a a few days.

I had mine on the 5th. I haven't really had too much pain. I was getting a very sharp pain in one spot. It would come and go. I kind of feel that the very upper part swelling might be going down a little. It feels like an outer body experience. I did not think that my tummy would be so flat. My thighs look huge now. I want to save to get my arms done. Insurance took care of tummy.

Oh and doc said at 3 months 80% of the swelling will be gone. The remaining 20% can take up to a year to go down. Later if I remember I'll take a better pic of incision. They removed the tape and it doesn't look so gruesome lol.

Dr. Robert Bledsoe - Southlake, TX - did a bilateral breast reduction/lift for me a week ago. 100 covered by insurance. Didn't need pain meds after first day. His closing technique leaves no external stitches and I had no drains.

    Highly recommend.

You look fantastic, I am so looking forward to getting to the point where I can can consult for my tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I am barely 3months post op but I have already dropped my first 50 pounds. I still have 100 more pounds to go to reach my goal weight. I am glad you shared your experience and pictures because it certainly helped me to understand what to expect undergoing this type of procedure. Again you look amazing....enjoy the new you!

So excited to read this thread. You look great. I'm going in for a consult on Monday. Unfortunately my insurance won't cover any of it. My primary doctor said he will cover anything that can be shared with the plastic surgeon (like blood tests), so that will help a little bit.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience. It takes some of the fear away knowing some of the details that are in my future.

Best of luck to you for fast healing.

This is about 3 weeks post op. Stitches were internal. They removed the tape on the outside. It's looking 100x better. I get the last drain out either tomorrow or Monday. They want your output to be 20 or less. Which when you're healing start getting itchy! I'm off the pain pills mostly. I went to the movies with my 6 year old and saw Big Hero 6...I laughed wayyyy to hard. So I ended up taking a pain pill but only one. I still tire easy from driving too far or walking too long. But that's to be expected. Other than that everything going smoothly. This pic was while I was laying down. I was lazy and didn't want to stand in front of a mirror lol
