any recommendation for a fitness band/watch/clip?

I'm considering getting a fitness band/watch/clip, but there are so many to chose from so I am looking for recommendations. I would like one that also tracks heart rate and sleep besides just steps and calories. I don't run so I would really like one that tracks exercise based on heart rate or the like. Does anyone have one? What do you think of it?

I loved my fitbit, personally...but I have heard, and research a few flaws within all of them

apythia, I only have the Flex fitbit, and it doesn't do everything you want. But I still love the motivation it gives me. I move FAR more with it than I did without it. FAR more!

Hi I have the jawbone up24 and I like it. It certainly tracks sleep and activity also links with other apps you want to use like fitness pal. I hear the watch is going to also provide some of these features and many more. Let's us know what you decide.

I have the Flex as well and it does everything I need. I just wish I didn't have such a great scale that I bought last year because it would be nice to have the Aria too. I'm just one of those people who won't buy a replacement until the original breaks.....I may have to accidently throw it out the window at some point.

I've used two, the BodyMedia and Fitbit. Of the two I prefer Fitbit. BodyMedia is bulky, it is difficult to sync, and you have to pay a monthly fee. They both sync with MyFitnessPal so I only have to enter my food in MFP.

I like the Garmin ViVo Fit. It's a real "watch" with a year long battery. Hooks to optional heart rate strap and has a move bar feature to remind you to get up occasionally to get steps thru the day. Also synchs to the cloud\mfp for accurate intake vs burn tracking.

I just started using the fitbit flex again after having it sit on the box since June!

It does integrate nicely with myfitnesspal, I am also on the hunt for a smart scale. I have been reading the reviews and thus far I am considering the Aria, withings or Wahoo scales.

They all seem flawed in one way or another based on the reviews so I am going to ask about other folks experience elsewhere on this forum.

The fitbit will track sleep and activity but not heart rate.

I use the fitbit and got the premium version to track my meds and supplements.

If you have a newer smartphone, chances are it can do most of the stuff that a band can do. iPhone 5S or later has a built in pedometer, Samsung S4 & Note 3 and newer have pedometers that integrate with their S-Health, many other Android phones can use Google Fit for pedometer work.

I find that Google Fit + Runtastic makes a great combination on my Nexus 6.

For me, it bugs me to wear something on my wrist, so using my phone that I already have with me all the time, is a great tool for tracking my exercise.
