You're only 12 days post op...trust me, it take several weeks to really "understand" how your new tummy will work, and how to read it accurately. I don't recall having stomach pains as much as occasional chest pains if I tried to drink too much too fast, etc. You should be getting close to starting soft food. I had a really difficult time drinking water, in the beginning. Crystal Light, Powerade Zero, or hot decaf tea was the only way liquids were getting down. For a while, it is going to be trial and error. Go slow, don't overeat, and sip, sip, sip.
As for the 2lb weight gain, it could be a zillion things that cause that considering your body just went through major trauma. The one thing it is NOT is fat. Don't be concerned.
P.S. There will be a stall at 3 weeks post-op. Knowing it will come is half the battle. LOL It's your body's way of catching up after the surgery and weightloss. Don't sweat it!
This is different for everyone (as is ALL of this) but mine lasted nearly 2 weeks. I was so disappointed until I did my research and saw that darn near EVERYONE knew of/had gone through a stall at 3 weeks. The interesting part is that you will still be losing inches, while the nu,ber on the scale likely won't move. Again, everyone is different, but I wasn't aware so was completely crushed when I stalled so early. If you do, know it is totally normal and you're on track.
Mine lasted 6 days.
