New surgery and EGD date Nov 14!!!

My surgery was scheduled for October 17 but my surgeon found ulcers when he performed my esophagogastroduodenoscopy, so he made me wait a month and take pills.

I will be getting another EGD on November 14th and if all is well I'll get my surgery that day too. So I'll re-start my liquid diet on November 1 (I have been doing it this week in case my surgery was scheduled sooner, but it turns out I have to wait). Did you all have to have egds? I'm so sad that my surgery was delayed, but I have to trust my surgeon that it was for the best.

Hi...How was the EGD? I was told by my doctor that I would have to get one. Was there any pain? Did you feel anything? I'm very nervous about getting mine done.

@Mistyradtech: The EGD was fine during the procedure. They put me out and when I woke up it was done. I had a little soreness in my throat once the numbing spray wore off but that was it. I was glad that I had it done because they found the three ulcers, but I was bummed to have to push my surgery date. Good luck!

I am having an EGD in a couple of weeks also. Checking for Hiatal Hernia. Once that is done then I will have a surgery date. I am ready.
