Still deciding date

Hello everyone,
Not sure what to write so I will start with some facts. My name is Felicia, I'm 24 and my current weight is 260. I have suffered from obesity what feels like my whole life. I have tried diet and exercise and lost 40 pounds, but gained 30 of it back within a month while I was still dieting. This struggle has been mentally draining which has caused depression. I have bad days and good days, and just thinking about this surgery makes me happy. It puts images in my head of me finally wearing cute clothes that don't give me a floaty around my waist. All I have to do is speak with my husband about the date that I have chose and see if he agrees on it. I'm sure he will, he knows how much this means to me. Although, I'm really nervous because my surgery is in Mexico and my Dr. is Dr. Almanza. I have read some great things about him and I'm sure he will do amazing. It's just all those negative videos out there about extra skin (more surgery) and leakage that make me nervous.

Hi Felicia- Welcome! I haven't seen any videos of patients who had leaks... Can you send a link (or two)? You will find lots of info about Dr. Almanza and many other Mexican surgeons here. Best of luck to you!!

Lotion .. lots of lotion and lose slowly ... you are young ..skin should have more elasticity .... ! Dr almanza is great ...good luck with your journey

Hey Char601,
I went to youtube and searched gastric sleeve leak. The odds of a leak are like 1 in 100 I believe. It wont let me post a link because I haven't posted 15 times.

Why are you 150 pounds below your goal weight? Did you set a higher goal and find that you could go further? I'm just curious. You look wonderful by the way. Enjoy your new body!

Oh I haven't been sleeved yet. Was having problems with the ticker. I'm still 260, my goal is 150.

Hi Felicia my name is TerriH and I'm also new to this whole ordeal. I would really like to keep intouch with you throughtout your journey. I will be your moral support. Im planning to have the surgery next year. I am also a little scared. I will keep you and all the others in my prayers.
