1st Post Op Visit

Greetings All,

Today I went in for my 1st Post Op Visit. Exciting news first, I currently weigh 288.5 that's a total of 25.5 pounds lost and 10.5 pounds lost since surgery! I am very happy with that. Looks like I am averaging 1 pound per day, hope that goes on for a long time lol...(fingers crossed). Otherwise my surgeon said my incisions are healing nicely and I am on target with my weight loss. I was told to continue the full liquids and pureed foods for one more week then I could slowly start advancing to solid foods slowly. He said as I can get my protien more through foods I can start to cutdown the shakes and new whey protein drinks to just 1 a day. I don't see him again for 3 months and I will have labs done on that visit. I was surprised by that far out date. I thought there was a 1 month follow up, but oh well one less copay right My wife and I leave on Nov 6th on cruise. I can not wait to shop for the trip but I have to hold off until closer to that time. I hope another month brings some drops in dress sizes!

How do you think you're going to cope watching everyone else stuffing their faces on the cruise? I have heard many people describe being repulsed by such visions. I think it would be great re-training!!! Have a fantastic vacation!!!

I imagine I will be just fine being that I cook twice per day in my own home and my family has no issue stuffing their faces right in front of me lol. ( albiet they are all skinny) Seriously though I think I will be fine, for almost 33 years I have enjoyed and indudged in an abundance of good food so as long as I am not hungry which I never am at this point I should be fine. Thanks for the well wishes!
