    Default Malt o Meal?

I am 18 days post op and on mushies/soft food. I've heard a lot op people saying they eat cream of wheat, but has anyone had malt o meal? I'm afraid it might be too heavy on the staple line...

Malt o meal was on my list of foods, but a very thin consistency. I haven't tried it yet, but I will as soon as I am able. I like that ovee CoW any day.

I bought some grits but have not had any either, seems like after I get my protein in I am full and no room for anything else. I am really focused on my proteins, and liquids.

i was going to try baby cereal when softs get introduced, but haven't read the labels on protein content, maybe good to mix with those flavorless proteins? baby cereals mix really thin and easily, they're for babies, after all...

I had grits mixed thin, about 1/2 cup and I was fine with it. Just try a few bites to see how you feel.
