I had a pretty good night. Slept okay. Minimal pain. Did several walks and keeping broth down well. Any thing even slightly aweet makes my tummy hurt. They are taking me off morphine at 8. Going to miss the pain pump. Probably going home today drinking and peeling fine. Nurse said best recovery she's ever seen. Preparation is the key. Thanks everyone!!

Good stuff
and I wholeheartedly agree about preparation - it makes all the difference! When I read stories about people who ate normal food right up to the day before surgery, it makes me cringe!
