Unhappy Weight Loss Plateau- What am I doing wrong?

Hey yau'll. I haven't posted much here, but felt like you all could give me some answers.

I am 15 weeks out. I've averaged almost 4 lbs a week weight loss since my sleeve in May. Until mid August- A complete STAND STILL.

I drink more water than seems humanly possible, walk 3 miles EVERY day- some of which is going up steps and slight hills, and alternate running/walking, and use ankle weights.

I stay away from potatoes, pasta, rice, really anything white doesn't do good for me.

Not a lot of meat, but some tuna and lean beef daily. I drink the protein muscle milk.
I eat a lot of salads, soups, eggs, cheese- but I measure my 1/2 cup for each meal.

Still, no weightloss in almost 3 weeks and I it is really getting so discouraging.

HELP. Anyone else go through this? Please tell me it will get better!

I stalled like that for 5 months! Was so frustrated, stick to the program, it will happen! It took 5 months, I eat nothing but my lean proteins, And a bite of veggies, not room for anything else, stick to the program, it will happen. After. 5 months, my clothes just kind of fell off, all were too big , all the sudden, like over noc, it just came off, thankfully, I was so frustrated!
    Good luck

Stalls come and they go for everyone. Do not let this discourage you. Yes they suck and at times can make you feel like a failure, but you are not. It is your body taking it's own sweet time catching up to itself. Your body had to adjust to the surgery as it will to the weight loss, before you out know it your body will take off on its own again. What I did was do a couple days of liquid diet again and it seemed to kick start it. Also try lifting a small amount of weights a couple times a week. Its amazing how different things can restart the process for people.

Best of wishes and luck my friend.

4lb a week is a LOT. It was probably just going to be a matter of time before you had a stall. I had periods of up to four weeks with very little movement. I didn't try and do anything different, just trusted in the process. I made it to goal and beyond. Good luck!

Thank you all for the reassurance. Sometimes, we feel that what we go through is so unique, and we must be doing something wrong. I am glad to know that others face plateaus as well. Have a great day you all!

Aleena look how much you have loss so far! You seem to be averaging 12-13lbs per month and that is impressive even with the stall....

You have lost 125lbs in less than a year!! (Or if you are on a 3 month stall lost that much in 5 months!!!!!) Wow!! Read the post a few up....I think your body is just trying to even out. You are losing so fast it had to slow down at some point. I have never seen anyone lose weight that fast.
Just keep doing what you are doing and read the post above with the 5 month stall. You have a choice,,,either give up or keep going. You haven't come this far to give up. You are doing great!!

I have also hit a stall for about 2 month. I am trying to quit smoking as well, but that has increased my hungries!. I think I am overeating now. I still have 70 lbs to go but am feeling great! Has my sleeve become stretched out too much?

I am not sure what your overall calorie goal is or if you even have one, but you may not be getting enough calories. When I bumped up my overall calorie intake I did much better. Also, you need some carbs now and then. Not everyday but your body does need some carbs. Choose really good whole grain bread or a sweet potato but get some of that carb stuff in at least once a week. When you go carb heavy go fat light. When you go fat heavy (good healthy fats only) go carb light.

The harder I work out the more carbs I allow myself. If I have had a low exertion day, then I don't have carbs. You really need to shake up your diet. Try getting most of your protein from real food and not protein shakes. It makes your body work harder to break down the nutrients.
My soul is not limited by my body. My body is contained in the limitlessness of my soul. ~ Jim Carey

If sticking at your current weight is working for you, then continue doing what you are doing. If you are frustrated with where you are, then change something.

It boggles my mind that folks are willing to just sit and wait out a stall. Five months? No way Jose.

You are in control of your journey. If you haven't started figuring out a plan, you are behind schedule..in my opinion.

It's not ok to stall. Sorry, but, again, that's just my opinion. Stalls can be avoided and busted at will. Again, just my opinion. For everyone on here to type encouragement is a little misguided. You don't need a pat on the back, you need a kick in the pants. It's time for you to take full ownership of your nutrition, exercise, supplement regimen and meal frequency.

Until you do that, you will stall, stall often, and stay stalled.

Go research some veteran sleevers and their methods. My methods work for me, but don't work for some. Truffles methods are 180 degrees different than mine and she lost her weight and looks incredible. Lots of folks follow her guidelines. MBL did it her way and she is a superstar too. Verbena is another one who gets it.

For starters, I would work in some starchy carbs. Then up your protein. Do that for a week and see what happens. If that doesn't work, change your supplements. If that doesn't work change your food plan, supplements and meal frequency. If that doesn't work, change it all up again. You will be sleeved for the rest of your life. Doesn't it make sense to take your time and come up with a custom plan for your very own success?

Make a plan, work your plan, own the results, make changes as necessary,

I have also been stalled/slowed down for a month. Looks like we were sleeved around the same time and are about the same weight. I am going to up my protein and go back to having shakes and some beans kind of like Tinman says. I think my body is freaked from lack of nutrients. My endo yesterday was talking to me yesterday about how hard our bodies can fight the weight loss and our metabolism slows in response to perceived starvation.
