    Default Eating too fast?

I'm struggling with eating over 30 minutes, I guess what the problem is, is I don't know how to space out bites. Does anyone count minutes or anything? I don't want to make myself sick. ( Oh, I just started Phase 2 - soft food ) so, that's why I'm nervous. I've been doing fine with tiny bites and chewing a lot, but then I'm not sure if I should take another bite or wait. How did you know you were full? I know I'm asking so many questions in one post, but I'm confused.

Hey girl, I have been struggling with the same thing but have found that I simply put the spoon down, finish chewing, wait about 30 sec to a minute and take another bite. I start burping if I eat too fast and have found this helps with that. I seem to start hiccupping when I am at my limit but you're right, can't tell you're full till it seems too late. Too full. Everyone just keeps advising me keep trying and pay attention to your body because there are differences with different folks. Great luck to you!

I'm bad about eating too fast, I constantly have to remind myself to slow down....I'm 12 weeks post op tomorrow so you would have thought it might have sunk in by now? Yea that hasn't happened yet! But I do know when I'm done/full that I start to hiccup. I also usually wait a minute between bites but find out what works for you, you'll be just fine!

I started eating tomato soup today.... sure beats the heck out of broth. I fished around in the kitchen and found a small spoon to use. I take one spoonful and then another.... and then sit my spoon down to take a few deep breaths. Good for my lungs and easier on my baby stomach.

I use the Eat Slower app (free for iphone or android) and set the timer to ding every 45 seconds when it is time to take another bite. Very simple idea but it works great!
