I cant seem to stop losing weight got on the scale another 7 lbs gone.i am not doing anything to keep losing I wondervwhen it will stop dont wanna look sick.
Make an appointment to see your nutritionist. You can increase your calories without increasing your quantity of food by eating foods with greater calorie density. Up your intake of healthy/natural fats - nuts, full-fat dairy, avocados, olive oil, cheese etc. I ended up under my original goal weight and it has levelled out. Good luck.
I just started maintenance and this is how I'm handling it...
Calculate my BMR (resting caloric needs) on MFP and plug that into my goal calories keeping my protein goals at at least 75g
I wear a ViVo Fit which works with a HR monitor for exercise and also has a pedometer functionality so it lets me know what my added calories should be on both fronts.
Try to eat back my exercise calories, (typically 450-500 per day + 100ish for general activity, (I have a sedentary job). That part is harder than it sounds some days, way to easy others.
Snack on nuts or other high quality, high protein options.
Add good fats
I lost last week, so I can't say I've perfected it, but at some point its about calories in vs calories burned, I'll find the sweet spot!. I'll still be well within the healthy BMI range if I lose 10 more figuring it out, I just don't feel like I need to be smaller than the size 4 I am today. I have my 1 year follow up in October. If I'm still headed south at that point, I'll seek help from the Doc\NUT.
Good luck finding your calorie sweet spot!
My nut has been concerned about my rate of weight loss as well. She expected it to taper down to about 6-8 lbs per month since June, but I've lost 22 lbs in the last 2 months. I worked w/ her to increase my good calories. I eat an avocado per day and 1.5 servings nuts in addition (macadamia nuts particularly if I don't eat enough of my regular foods). These are unsaturated fats, so she's not too concerned about the amount that I eat as I still can't eat too much.
I do jiu jitsu for 1.5 hr 2/week, 35 min cardio 3/wk, walk 3-4 mi each day (as work out), but this is for fitness, not for weight loss so much anymore. The amount that you'll be recommended to eat may be based on your activity level. Avocado is truly my best friend, and I'll know in a few days how added healthy fats is working to lower my rate of loss. Good luck and talk to your nut.
