Birth control/ Implanon hell!!!!

Hello!

i was wondering if anyone can offer me some feedback on which birth control method is effective for them. I am 8 months post op! I will have the implanon removed from my arm this afternoon. I have had spotting for 8 months and horrible mood swings with this implanon method. My surgeon said the only way to stay baby free is implanon or the IUD. I AM NOT intereseted in the IUD. I want to use BCP OR nuva ring? Please give me advice and THANK YOU!!! I have heard other sleevers that go back to pills or nuva ring. Please let me know what you think!

I have an IUD and it is GREAT. I use to suffer every month and now no cramping and light.

I'm still told the pill will not work and I'm a year out. I'm thinking about the Hormonal IUD. I know you said no but I think you should talk to your doctor about it some more or the nuva ring. I know they have a new one out that you can get put in your arm but I don't like the way those make me feel. I have heard nothing but good things about the IUD. I think that is my route.

I talked with my ob/gyn prior to surgery and both she and my surgeon ok'd the pill saying it would be the best option for me. An IUD wasn't an option for me because I haven't had children and that makes it more risky to insert (according to the ob/gyn)

I have used the Nuva ring in the past, and out of all the different birth control methods I have tried, that one was my favorite. I used it for over 3 years.
I like that you are in control of ( sorry graphic ) inserting and removing it yourself. If you want to ask me more questions about it, I can PM you.

I use the Creighton's Method...charting temperatures and mucus (like NFP-Natural Family Planning but more scientific). Catholic diocese's offer these classes for free which normally run close to $1000. It's best for your body if you can stick with it and abstain when you're ovulating.

Thanks for your advice! i am leaning more toward the nuva ring as well.. i think it will be best because all though i prefer the pill i am forgetfull and not ready for a baby lol. Thanks alot!
