Question Random question about being cold

Okay, so I'm only almost 2 weeks out and I have only lost about 15lbs so not much yet, however I feel cold now a lot easier than before. EVERTHING used to make me hot and sweaty, I know that losing weight makes you feel different temp wise, but I have been smaller than I am now and still never felt this. It's weird, could it be because the sleeve? Or maybe in my head? Just a random question.

I'm always cold now too... I've also read that this happens to a lot of people. We are losing our "winter fat", as I like to call it... We don't have that insulation we did before so I guess it would make sense that we feel cold a lot easier.

Not in your head! I have it too...I used to get hot and sweaty all the time, but since being sleeved, i am cold all the time. I am always wearing a sweatshirt in my a/c house that is set at 73! You will notice SO many changes with being sleeved!! More good than bad!

I think it has something to do with the rapid weight loss and the hormones and toxins that we rapidly let go of at the same time. Mine was worse for the first month or 2 immediately post op. BUT, good news is, at least for me, I do tolerate the heat better as a thin person in general. I no longer freeze all the time, but I can walk outside on an 83 degree day without coming home with a wet pony tail and I keep my house at 78 this summer vs last summer's 70.

Don't worry about hurting my feelings because I guarantee you not one bit of my self esteem is tied up in your acceptance.

Definitely not in your head. Its been ten weeks for me and I'm still cold. I thought it was due to the amount of weight that I have loss. (75lbs) Glad to hear its not just me. I used to love the cold, now I hate it.

I am cold all the time as well! I would have a blanket on me, while my brother would be sweating. Haha.
I do not mind it though.

Just get use to it! I'm 2+ years out and am always cold, we just learn to adjust and become really good friends with layering clothes! . Even with the constant cold this is 100% worth it!!

It actually has nothing to do with the weight loss, usually. Just a side effect. I have never tolerated heat well--even at 110 pounds. However, immediately following surgery, I was cold and have been from there on out. Still can't stand high humidity, but the heat itself doesn't bother me anymore. I have had my air conditioner turned off more this summer than ever in my life. Of course, it hasn't gotten much above 75 here this summer.

I'm super cold now - and it's summer. My husband and I get in huge fights over the A/C because I can't warm up when it's on 60!
