Pain Help Please

Hi Sleevers I need your help. After coming home from the hospital were you in enough pain to make you cry like a 12 on the pain chart? My husband came home yesterday and I've never seen him like this I called the doctor and I'm waiting for a call back. I would like everyone's comments please!

I didn't cry at all after surgery from pain - I did get upset once because of the aneasthetic leaving the system - kinda self pity - but defo not due to pain - I would seek advice - I was told if extreme pain was felt, it could be due to a leak, so check it out most definitely xx I hope he is ok:-)) xx

I haven't had my surgery yet, but I'd definitely call the doc like you did. Keep us posted.

I never had any pain except gas pain the first 48 hours

I did and it was a blood clot in my stomach. Not to scare you but get him right to the Emergency Room and do not pass GO. Keep us posted hunny!!!

The pain is not usually excruciating like that, just uncomfortable. Definitely get checked out.

Is the pain by the large cut? That is where mine as I cried too itwas just where they cut and muscle has to heal

Oh wow, i Am so sorry to hear this. I agree with the other posters. Call the Dr. and/or get him to the ER

That is not right and as the others say - Get him to the ER at least to rule out problems. I came home Wednesday and is off painkillers today.

I did not have any pain. I was sore and uncomfortable, but no pain. I would call the Doctor, I don't think that's normal at all. Keep us updated.

I had quite a bit of pain... not a 12, but definitely an 8-9 and 3 weeks post op I'm still a 2-3... I'm a firm believer though in better safe than sorry... call your doctor ASAP and ask his advice... he or she will send you to the ER if they're concerned. Good luck!

My surgery was the 23rd and while I had a tough time post-anesthesia I haven't had pain over a 5 at home. I would take the advice of others and get to the ER asap. Better to be safe.
